HOW I KEEP MY BLONDE HAIR COOL TONED

Even though I dyed my hair dark last week, I had my hair dyed blonde/balayage blonde for over two years prior to becoming a brunette. I absolutely loved being blonde but simply thought it was time for a change. Not going to lie, having bleached blonde hair really is high maintenance and the most annoying thing that comes with bleaching your hair is the yellow tones coming through. That’s why in this post I wanted to share with you what saved me from it.

After trying a bunch of products to tone my hair while still trying not to spend a fortune (I’m a poor student), the above products literally saved my life. Bleach London Silver Shampoo and Silver Conditioner do exactly as it says on the packaging – get rid of brassy yellow tones while moisturizing your hair. It doesn’t overtone your hair like most toning products tend to do and helps you achieve the cool tones without a lot of hassle. One thing I’d recommend though is using these products every other wash cause that is enough to maintain a cool blonde hair colour.

I’ve tried so many hair products to help me maintain a cool tone of blonde ant this shampoo is by far the best one. I will definitely repurchase it again and again.

This gel gently purifies the skin without overdrying and leaves it feeling clean and refreshed.

4. Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lip colour in Moca

This is my new favourite nude lip product: it’s not patchy at all, the shade is gorgeous and it stays on for a really long time. Perfect product both for daytime wear and going out.

5. Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil

This eyebrow product stays on for a long time and doesn’t use up as quickly as most eyebrow pencils.

Since today is the last day of November, I wanted to share a few beauty products that I’ve been loving this month and highly recommend.

1. Sleek Makeup highlighting palette in Solstice 032

I got this absolutely gorgeous palette as a gift for my birthday and have been using it every day ever since. It consists of 1 cream and 3 powder highlighter shades that give the most perfect glow ever.

2. Batiste dry shampoo

I have tried a lot of different kinds of dry shampoos but this one is my all time fave. Not only does it give your hair volume and a fresh look, but also the scent of it is sooo nice.

3. Loreal Skin Perfection micellar water

In my opinion using micellar water is the easiest and most convenient way to remove your make up. This product does exactly what it says on the label hence I love it and use it daily.

4. NYX matte lipstick in Butter

nyx

This is my another favourite product of all time. It’s the most beautiful nude shade ever that can be worn both daytime and on nights out. Its quality is really good as well since it stays on for a very long time and doesn’t smudge at all. I’m definitely going to repurchase it after running out.

5. Oriflame refreshing eye illuminator

This eye cream actually helps to reduce the puffiness and darkness under the eyes. I use it every morning and evening before applying moisturizer.

6. Calvin Klein CK One fragrance

The bottle that I own is a travel size one so it’s an absolute essential in my handbag. The scent is unisex, very light and has refreshing tones of bergamot, lemon and mandarin.

Pros and cons of EYELASH EXTENSIONS

I have been wearing eyelash extensions for about half a year now and collected some knowledge about that stuff. If you are considering getting your eyelash extensions done, in this post I will share both positive and negative aspects of this matter from my personal experience.

NOTE: my eyelash extensions are classic and in the picture above they are about a week after a refill.

THE ADVANTAGES:

  • Your eyes look bigger. It’s just an optical illusion: the longer the lashes, the bigger your eyes look. As a matter of fact, this is the main reason why I got my eyelash extensions lol
  • You don’t need any mascara, nor do you need to wear eye makeup daily. This really does save your time in the morning as well as allows you to go swimming in the pool without the fear of looking like a panda.
  • This is completely random, but I would get my refills by such a lovely girl that we would be talking about random stuff during the process, so going to the salon was like a therapy for me.

THE DISADVANTAGES:

  • It is a luxury. While in my hometown getting eyelash extensions isn’t extremely expensive,as far as I know it is quite costly in other cities and abroad.
  • If you don’t get a refill on time, your eyelashes start to look quite funny.
  • Your real eyelashes do fall out and it sucks.
  • It is way harder to do your eye makeup while having eyelash extensions. Of course, I got used to it, but at first I was pretty annoyed by this issue.
  • You can’t use any oil based cleansers or products on your eyes since oil makes your eyelash extensions fall out, so if  oil based products are the only thing you have in your house, it will be necessary to buy new products.

All in all, eyelash extensions are a debatable thing, however I personally don’t regret getting them done.

Get to know me 2.0

Well hello, it’s my second (and final) time introducing myself in this blog. Last time I didn’t manage to post anything more than an introduction, so I’m going to give it another shot at blogging. Not only do I have more free time but also plenty of motivation to post here frequently now, hence I hope you will keep up with my journey 😇

So why did I decide to become a blogger? Well, I’ve always loved being occupied by activities that are on the creative side. I have quite a lot of ideas floating in my mind of what to write about. One of my most favourite quotes to live by is “If you never try, you’ll never know”, so really, who knows, maybe some people will find it interesting to read my blog.

As a rule I have to drop some facts about myself in this post, so here I go. I am an eighteen-year-old girl from a tiny country in the Eastern side of Europe, Lithuania. I live in Klaipeda, a city that is near the Baltic sea, therefore I fell in love with the ocean through the years of constantly hearing its breeze.

Although the education system in my country differs from everywhere else, I’m a senior in high school, if I could say so ’cause I feel and often act like a freshman. Moving on to the things that are right up my street, I am interested in fashion, acting, beauty and photography. Tbh I don’t think I’m neither very good nor terrible at these areas, so you’ll be able to see for yourself and decide, if you keep reading my blog.

What to expect from this blog? Honestly, as I’ve already mentioned, I’m highly interested in fashion and beauty, therefore I will probably post a lot of outfits and makeup looks here. But honestly, I won’t label this blog as a ‘fashion blog’ or anything, ’cause I’ll most likely share a lot of other fun stuff as recipes, pictures taken by me or any thoughts that keep going through my mind.

Before I leave, I will drop some of my totally random photos and social media links.

Thank you for reading this post darling   ❤
